MINUTES
TOWN OF LOGANSPORT
March 11, 2025
The regular monthly meeting of the Logansport Town Council was held Tuesday, March 11, 2025 in the Council Chamber of Logansport Town Hall with Mayor Mark Woods
presiding. Council members present: Katherine Freeman, Michael Mynes, Pam Thomas and Anthony Wilson. Zachary Bossier absent. Three guest present.
The meeting was opened with a prayer by Mr. Mynes and Mayor Woods led the Pledge of Allegiance.
With a motion from Mrs. Freeman and seconded by Mr. Wilson the February minutes were approved. All ayes. One absent.
The monthly bill were approved as present with a motion from Mr. Wilson and seconded by Mr. Thomas. All ayes. One absent.
Matthew McKee, Community Liaison for Desoto, Sabine and Red River Parish for Mike Johnson greeted the council and guest.
Mayor Woods reported the paint and fence material is ordered for the pickle ball court and it should be completed soon and the electric poles we have will be sufficient in lighting up the court. We are also moving electrical outlets on river up so they won’t be under water when it rises.
Speed bumps are being put in on Magnolia, Uncas, Gum and Second Streets.
Mayor Woods reported we have received several compliments on the uniforms for town employees. Emblems for the trucks will be in soon. Mayor Woods also reported we would probably be in need of new work truck in the coming months.
With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned with motion by Mrs. Thomas and seconded by Mr. Wilson.
