Medic 1 is stationed in Logansport. Its primary coverage area is the western part of DeSoto Parish including Logansport. Medic 1 has been at its current location since June of 2006. The ambulances are manned 24 hours – 7 days a week throughout the Parish. DeSoto EMS is funded through a property tax and revenue collected from the patient’s insurance. All fire districts also roll with EMS calls.

Sheriff Department

The DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s office maintains a Logansport Substation in the Main Street District of Logansport.
