TOWN OF LOGANSPORT

September 10, 2024 

The regular monthly meeting of the Logansport Town Council was held Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the Logansport Town Hall with Mayor Judge Cordray presiding. Council members present: Pam Thomas, Mark Woods, Katherine Freeman, and Anthony Wilson. Zachary Bossier absent. One guest present.

The meeting was opened with the Lord’s Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.

With a motion from Mrs. Thomas and seconded by Mrs. Freeman the August minutes were approved. All ayes. One absent.

The monthly bills were approved with a motion from Mr. Woods and seconded by Mrs. Freeman. All ayes. One absent.

The approval for the updated Employee Handbook was moved to next month to give everyone time to read it.

A public meeting for next month was called for with a motion from Mr. Woods and seconded by Mr. Wilson to set up meter fees for new customers. All ayes. One absent.

The purchase of John Deere Tractor and side cutter costing $157, 911.68 was approved with a motion from Mrs. Thomas and seconded by Mrs. Freeman. All ayes.
One absent.

Mr. Woods reported several lights were out in town and also there was a few where trees had covered security lights. All were being reported to Swepco.

Mayor Cordray reported that a three sided sign has been placed in front of the Horse and Wagon, it shows pictures and history of Logansport.

The Logansport Chamber would like to display pumpkins for sale on property by the flags, everyone agreed.

With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned with a motion from Mrs. Thomas and seconded by Mr. Woods. All ayes. One absent.
