MINUTES
TOWN OF LOGANSPORT
OCTOBER 10, 2023
The regular monthly meeting of the Logansport Town Council was held Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the Logansport Town Hall with Mayor Judge Cordray presiding. Council members present: Katherine Freeman, Anthony Wilson and Mark Woods. Absent: Zachary Bossier and Pam Thomas. Three guests were present.
The meeting was opened with the Lord’s Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.
With a motion from Mrs. Freeman and second from Mr. Wilson the minutes were approved. All ayes. Two absent.
The monthly bills for the general and utility funds were approved with a motion from Mr. Woods and second from Mr. Wilson. All ayes. Two absent.
Mrs. Mary Thompson reported painting the mural is projected to be done by year end.
With a motion from Mrs. Freeman and second from Mr. Woods the employee’s insurance was approved for another year. All ayes. Two absent.
The repairs on the food pantry roof was approved with a motion from Mr. Wilson and second from Mr. Woods. All ayes. Two absent.
Mr. Woods the boat ramp at Garrett’s Park should be completed by Mid November and also a new floating dock.
Mrs. Freeman reported on the repairs needed on different parts of playground equipment.
Mayor Cordray reported the playground turf was completed and a sign was ordered. Mayor also reported overlaying parking lot on riverfront and a few streets is in the works. The police Jury would be overlaying Lovell Lane. The community center is almost finished waiting for floors to be cleaned and sealed.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned with a motion from Mrs. Freeman and seconded by Mr. Wilson. All ayes. Two absent.
