MINUTES
TOWN OF LOGANSPORT
SEPTEMBER 12, 2023

The regular monthly meeting of the Logansport Town Council was held Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the Logansport Town Hall with Mayor Judge Cordray presiding. Council members present: Kather Freeman, Zachary Bossier, Anthony Wilson, Pam Thomas and Mark Woods. One guest present.

The meeting was opened with the Lord’s Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.

With a motion from Mrs. Freeman and second from Mrs. Thomas the minutes were approved. All ayes.

The monthly bills for the general and utility funds were approved with a motion from Mr. Bossier and seconded by Mr. Wilson. All ayes.

Mrs. Mary Thompson reported the Desoto Parish Tourism Commission was still planning to paint mural in Logansport, waiting on weather to cool down.

Mr. Woods reported the work on the boat ramp at Garret’s Park should be finished in about a month.

Mayor Cordray reported the work on the playground would be completed this week and a walkthrough was planned for Thursday. Mayor Cordray and council discussed rules that would apply to turfed area.

Mayor Cordray reported that the air conditioning was completed at the community center, next will be cleaning the floor and getting them sealed. The Desoto Parish Tourism Commission will be purchasing tables and chairs. Mayor Cordray also suggested to council to start thinking about what rules and regulations needed for community center.

With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned with a motion from Mrs. Thomas and seconded by Mr. Woods. All ayes.
