MINUTES
TOWN OF LOGANSPORT
JUNE 13, 2023
The regular monthly meeting of the Logansport Town Council was held Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the Logansport Town Hall with Mayor Judge Cordray presiding. Council member present: Katherine Freeman, Pam Thomas, Anthony Wilson and Mark Woods. Zachary Bossier absent. Four guests present.
The meeting was opened with the Lord’s Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.
With a motion from Mrs. Freeman and second from Mrs. Thomas the minutes were approved. All ayes. One absent.
The monthly bills for the general and utility fund were approved with a motion from Mrs. Freeman and second from Mr. Woods. All ayes. One absent.
Mark Armstrong reported that the ceremonial burn pit has been delayed. He also reported he was Commander with the American Legion and was looking for veterans in our area.
Surplus was approved for bid on the property sold to Water District one with a motion from Mrs. Thomas and second from Mr. Wilson. All ayes. One absent.
With a motion from Mrs. Freeman and second from Mr. Woods the Mansfield Enterprise was approved as our official journal. All ayes. One absent.
Mr. Woods reported that the boat ramp is still on and should start working on it this summer.
Mayor Cordray reported lots of compliments on the logs and fence at the horse and wagon, there will be a welcome sign soon. The community center is almost finished. The River City Fest was a huge success. After the flood in town several ditches and culverts need to cleared.
With no further business meeting was adjourned with a motion from Mrs. Thomas and second from Mr. Wilson. All ayes. One absent.
